Weekend in Montreal

Hey guys!

I know I know, I have not written a blog post in weeks. To be fair, I only have two weeks of school let and I’ve just been trying to take this all in. I still can’t believe I am done college in 2 weeks and onto my internship! However, I put a poll on my Instagrammed and asked if you wanted to see a blog post on my trip to Montreal and “yes” was the winner so here we go! Don’t forget to follow me on all my social, all linked at the top.

Day 1

Andrew and I drove to Montreal at around 1:00pm and arrived in Montreal around 3:15pm. We were starving by the time we arrived. We checked into our hotel (check my youtube video to see the overview of the hotel). The first night we had a really relaxing night together and just wanted to settle in. We went to a place in Downtown Montreal called “Le Poke Bar” for an early dinner. It was so good that we actually went back the next day.  We also went to pick up some bubble tea at Chatime.

Day 2

We slept in till about 11:00am and then we were off to the Olympic stadium. Before the trip, I was looking for some nice outdoor skating places in Montreal and found one across the road from the stadium. We were lucky because it was such a warm day and it wasn’t overly cold. The rink itself was super smooth and had really nice views all around it. That night we UberEats poutine and watched the NBA all-star game.

Our last day we went to “La Grande Roue de Montreal”. At first, I didn’t think we really needed to go but then thought why not? Although it’s a typical tourist attraction it really is beautiful to see, and I highly recommend you pay to go on the Ferris wheel. You get to see such a nice view of downtown. We then got Poutine at the restaurant right by the Ferris wheel ( because what else would we eat in Montreal?).

Overall the trip was short and sweet but much needed. It’s always nice to get away from your hometown city even if it’s just a short trip. I definitely want to return to Montreal in the summer time!

I hope you enjoyed this little blog post. Like I said before, I filmed a video from the trip so if you’d like to see that go check that out (Link at the top).

Stay reading (:
